When your pet stays somewhere overnight, you naturally want to know more than where they’ll sleep.

What will they do during the day? Who will be around? Will they get time to play, rest, and settle in?

At Wags 2 Whiskers, boarding is designed around the full stay, not just the overnight hours.

Boarding Includes the Day, Too

Our boarding dogs follow the same daytime routine as our daycare dogs.

That means their day includes social play, enrichment, and time to rest. They may spend part of the day playing with other dogs, working on puzzles or sniffing activities, spending one-on-one time with a team member, and then settling down for a nap.

We don’t expect dogs to be active all day. Having time to slow down is part of the routine, too.

By the time nighttime comes around, they’ve already had a full day with opportunities to play, explore, and rest.

A Familiar Environment for Their Stay

The environment your pet spends time in matters to us.

Our dogs use Earthing Play flooring during daycare and boarding. It’s the same flooring they can play, move, and rest on during their daytime routine.

Cats have their own boarding setup, separate from the dogs, with earthing mats in their space.

Different pets have different ways of experiencing their surroundings, so we don’t try to make the setup exactly the same for everyone.

Someone Is Here Overnight

Boarding doesn’t end when the daytime routine is over.

Our team stays overnight, so there is someone here during the night while boarding pets are staying with us.

For pet parents, knowing that someone is on-site overnight can be an important part of feeling comfortable with boarding. For us, it’s simply part of caring for pets throughout their stay.

Rest Is Still Part of the Experience

A change in environment can be a lot for some pets, even when they’re having a good time.

That’s one reason we make room for rest during the day. Dogs have time to play and engage, but they also have time to settle down and take a break.

We want boarding to have a rhythm to it rather than keeping pets busy from morning until night.

It Starts With Getting to Know Your Pet

Before a dog stays with us for their first daycare or boarding visit, we start with a Meet & Greet.

It’s a short, 10-minute visit where we can meet your dog, introduce them to the team, and get a better sense of how they interact with the space.

It’s also a chance for you to see where your pet will be spending their time and ask any questions before their first stay.

More Than a Place to Stay

A boarding stay is made up of a lot of little things.

Time to play. Something to keep their mind busy. A place to rest. A familiar routine during the day. People here overnight.

Those details all come together to shape what your pet’s stay actually feels like.

That’s how we think about boarding at Wags 2 Whiskers. We’re not just providing a place for your pet to spend the night. We’re creating a space where they can spend their day, rest when they need to, and be cared for throughout their stay.

Ready to Meet Us?
