When we think about pet care, we usually think about the service first.
A bath. A day at daycare. A night of boarding. A grooming appointment.
But there’s more to a pet’s experience than the service itself.
What do they play on? What water do they drink? Where do they rest? How is the space cleaned? How are they handled throughout the day?
At Wags 2 Whiskers, we pay attention to those things because they’re all part of the time your pet spends with us.
Care Doesn’t Start and End With the Service
A daycare visit isn’t just about giving a dog somewhere to spend a few hours. Boarding isn’t simply about having a place to sleep. And grooming isn’t just about getting a pet clean.
We look at what happens around the service, too.
For daycare, that means giving dogs a mix of social play, enrichment, and rest. During the daytime recycle, they have time to play and interact, work their minds through different enrichment activities, and then settle down for a nap.
We don’t expect dogs to be doing something every minute they’re here. Sometimes, a good day includes knowing when to slow down.
The Environment Is Part of the Experience

Our dogs use Earthing Play flooring during daycare and boarding. It’s where they can play, move around, and rest during their time with us.
For our feline guests, the setup is different. Cats have their own space with earthing mats rather than the dog flooring.
It’s a simple example of how we approach the environment at W2W. Dogs and cats don’t necessarily need the same setup, so we make space for those differences.
Water Is Part of Pet Care, Too
Water can be easy to overlook because it’s such a basic part of everyday care.
But pets drink it, and they come into contact with it during grooming, too.
At Wags 2 Whiskers, we use reverse osmosis (RO) water for drinking and bathing throughout the shop.
It’s one of those details that may not be obvious when you walk through the door, but it’s part of how we’ve set up our environment.
Clean Spaces Matter
Pets are constantly interacting with the space around them.
They walk on the floors, lie down, sniff, play, explore, and share areas with other pets.
So cleaning is naturally part of pet care for us.
We use hypochlorous acid (HOCl) as part of our cleaning approach to help maintain the spaces where pets spend their time.
Keeping the environment clean is simply part of taking care of the pets in it.
Grooming Can Be More Than Getting Clean
The same approach carries into our Pet Spa.
Our Wellness Wash uses reverse osmosis water, gentle products, and a conditioner finish on every dog and cat.
For pet parents who want to add more to their grooming visit, The Works is a $50 add-on. It includes lymphatic massage, teeth brushing, nail grinding, a deshed or demat block, and a slicker finish.
Lymphatic work isn’t included in every Wellness Wash. It’s part of The Works.
Rest Is Part of Care
One thing we don’t want to overlook is rest.
Daycare doesn’t mean dogs have to be active from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave. Our daytime routine gives them time to play and engage, followed by dedicated nap time.
That balance is important.
There are times for activity, and there are times when a dog just needs to settle down and take a break.
It All Comes Back to the Pet
This is where our Holistify™ approach comes in.
We look at daycare, boarding, grooming, water, cleaning, and the environment as connected parts of the care a pet receives while they’re here.
Sometimes it’s the small details that make up the biggest part of the experience.
A clean space. Good water. Time to play. Time to rest. An environment designed with pets in mind.
That’s the kind of care we’re working to create at Wags 2 Whiskers.
Because care doesn’t start when the service begins. It starts with the environment your pet walks into.
